About the Show

Nobody Gets
Here Clean.

Raw Faith. Real Stories.

The Rugged Path is a long-form interview podcast for people who have been through it — and for the people who love them.

The Rugged Path is not for people who have it figured out. It is for people who have been through it — war, addiction, trauma, violence, broken relationships, long stretches of darkness — and either found their way to faith or are still walking that road.

Every guest who sits down with Dan has a story that does not get cleaned up for the stage. We go into the hard parts, the shameful parts, the parts people usually leave out. And we watch what God does with all of it.

"The Church needs more of these conversations. Not polished testimonies from people whose lives got a little messy before God tidied everything up. But real accounts from real people whose faith was forged in genuinely hard places."

Dan came to faith after years of living far from it. His background gave him something a lot of Christian interviewers do not have — the ability to sit with someone in the middle of their worst story without flinching. No judgment. No formulas. Just two people being honest about what it actually costs to follow Jesus when life has not been easy.

What This Show Is

Long-form interviews with real people who have lived through hard things and found faith — or are still finding it. No scripts. No filters. No cleaned-up endings.

Who It Is For

Anyone who has felt like their story was too messy for a Sunday morning. Veterans. People in recovery. Anyone who has walked through darkness and wondered if God was still there.
